We hope you are well during this difficult time. In the next few days we hope to be back up and running with at least some mobile valeting services, having been on lockdown for the last couple of months.
We aim to carry out interior and exterior valets while maintaining social distancing, to keep any risks at an absolute minimum where possible. Thankfully, due to the nature of our work, we can work outdoors and keep a safe distance as part of our everyday practices.

JM Detailing is proud to be an authorised applicator of Kenolon Ceramic Shield. Backed by many years of rigorous testing and development, and manufactured in Europe, it is undoubtedly one of the leading SiO2 products in car surface science.
Ceramic Shield is a professional product which is ONLY supplied to Detailers who have attended training and assessment here in the UK. In order to maintain the exclusivity of Kenolon Ceramic Shield, only a very limited number of UK applicators throughout the country will be entitled to apply the coating, and it will NOT be on sale to the general public.
Kenolon is a ceramic coating that is invisible but resistant. It’s protective against all external polluting attacks such as traffic dirt, insects, acid rain, salt and UV-rays. Thanks to years of experience and a highly developed R&D department, it guarantees you the best protection on the market. This coating is applied following a particular procedure by Certified Detailers only.
The water-repellent effect of Kenolon Ceramic Shield ensures that dust and dirt are less likely to cling to the car. Traditional paint protection products based on synthetic wax or polymers do not guarantee measurable thickness, they remain on the paint until they disappear through degradation by the sun, acid rain and degreasing detergents. Thanks to the special composition of this product based on silicon dioxide (SIO2), your vehicle is protected and looks fantastic for a long time. In situations where an alloy wheel has received only minor kerb damage, scuffs or scratches, it is possible to repair just the damaged area of the wheel with the wheel attached and in situ. This type of repair is very cost-effective, quick and convenient, when budget and time are of the essence.
The process is as follows:
The wheel is thoroughly cleaned, removing as much dirt and contaminants as possible.
The tyre itself is masked off to protect it for the repair process, then the damaged area is sanded to smooth-out any irregular edges or sharp, high points.
Fillers are then applied to build up the area which has been gouged by the initial contact, raising it back up to a level surface.
When the filler is set it is once again smoothed out by light sanding. This is followed by applying a layer of primer.
The wheel is then re-sprayed to match the rest of the wheel.
Once this is cured, a lacquer is applied to add extra protection and gloss.
Full Alloy Wheel Refurbishment Process
In situations where an alloy wheel has received only minor kerb damage, scuffs or scratches, it is possible to repair just the damaged area of the wheel with the wheel attached and in situ. This type of repair is very cost-effective, quick and convenient, when budget and time are of the essence.
The process is as follows:
The wheel is removed from the vehicle
The tyre and any balancing aids are also removed
As above, the damaged areas are assessed, sanded, primed, painted and lacquered, but this time the alloy barrel, as opposed to just the alloy face, is also completely treated, ensuring a full rear-to-front repair of the alloy.
